Controversial Mod locking original thread .

Re: Des O'Connor has bought the farm
It was started by Branded, so the mod probably just assumed it was a load of made-up shit.

So many of the big Television people I grew up watching are dying, 88 is a good innings though especially for a man who was married a few times.

I think Len’s was first and there’s no point in two threads. Classic memories of my youth. Everything seemed “ light entertsinment” back then. Like they needed to calm us down.

Always seemed like a genuine bloke and very likeable rest in peace Des.

PS My uncle married his aunt but I never met him.

Sad. Seemed like nice bloke. After a fall too, so it wasn't his time which makes it sadder for me.

Stanley Baxter is 94.
I noticed Val Doonican is dead. Don't remember that happening.

Re: Des O'Connor has bought the farm
Harry, his brother, was a neighbour when I was growing up in Upton Park, as they were born in Stepney.

RIP Des, but your brother always said you were a bit of a cunt, and I loved Harry who was a brilliant bloke.
